Links offers the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing programme for those working in aged care or disablity industries. You can complete the full qualification or individual unit standards to meet your workplace requirements. You must be working in a care facility to be able to complete any of these qualifications or unit standards. This can be in paid or voluntary work.
New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2)
For new or potential entrants into the health and wellbeing sectors including those re-entering the workforce. This provides the foundation skills to ensure that workers are safe to work at an entry level in a health or wellbeing industry.
New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Support Work (Level 3)
This qualification is aimed at recognising the skills and knowledge required to provide person-centered support and perform a role within the health and wellbeing industry as a support worker.
New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Health Assistance (Level 3)
This qualification aims to develop the skills and knowledge required to provide care under the direction and delegation of a health professional in a range of contexts including aged residential, acute, primary and rehabilitative care.
New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Advanced Support) Level 4
For support workers in a senior position, this qualification covers building positive workplace relationships plus advanced skills and strategies for supporting people and ensuring their continued health and wellbeing.
Dementia Care Certificate
(Limited Credit Programme)
This Limited Credit Programme (LCP) consists of 4 unit standards and focuses on the essential skills, knowledge and attitudes required to support a person with dementia in a residential facility.
The LCP is the minimum requirement for a Dementia Care facilty support worker.
