Links Training (2008) Ltd, is pleased to be working alongside Steve Jenkins to offer the NZRC CORE training.
Steve is well known to the health care industry, he is an experienced nurse, paramedic resuscitation officer. He is also an executive of the Certificate of the Resuscitation and Emergency Care Instructor’s of New Zealand. Steve is qualified to the NZRC’s highest level, level seven.

As from the 1st January the NZRC CORE training  Levels 2 - 7 have been replaced by the following training sessions. Please read the information carefully to decide which training meets your requirements and that of your organisations. 

NZRC CORE Skills (non assessed)

Duration: 2-9 hours depending on content required as to length of course.
Cost from $85.00 - $380.00
This course is for rescuers who do not want to be assessed in practical and theoretical skills of resuscitation.
Duration of the course is dependent on the skill stations chosen for completion. The workplace will determine the skills required.

CORE Skills learners should have access to Resuscitation – A guide for Advanced Rescuers. Edition 1.

Those that successfully pass this course are issued a Confirmation of attendance letter. CORE Skills does not provide the learner with CORE certification. 

NZRC CORE Immediate Training (Assessed) 

Adult Only (Assessed)
Duration: 4 hrs 
Cost $250.00 + $10.00 assessment fee
Adult & Child (Assessed)
Duration: 6 hrs 
Cost: $280.00 + $ 10.00 assessment fee

This course is for rescuers who might be expected to manage the early stages of cardiac arrest.

This is the required level of training for:
Dentists/Dental Specialists - not performing sedation 
Dental Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Orthodontic Auxiliaries, Clinical Dental Technicians
Dental Technicians undertaking restricted activities. 
Nurses, vaccinators, pharmacists performing vaccinations, radiographers, physiotherapists and other health professionals who do not require the higher level courses available.

NZRC CORE Advanced 

Duration: 9 hours 
Cost: $400.00 + $35.00 assessment fee
NZRC CORE Advanced is the current RNZCGP minimum standard in order to achieve Fellowship. GP's are encouraged to train to the level appropriate to their work.

NZRC CORE Advanced courses are endorsed by the RNZCGP for 8 credits. 
NZRC CORE Advanced is the current standard for Dentists performing any sedation (except Relative Analgesia).

This course is for the advanced rescuer who is expected to manage and supervise resuscitation events.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
CORE certificates are valid for one year. For their own purposes organisations and accredited bodies may recognise the certification for longer. Due to fall off of skill retention the NZRC will not support any recognition period longer than three years.
