The following four Unit Standards are a Limited Credit Programme and by completing these you will achieve the Dementia Care certificate

Demonstrate knowledge of dementia, person-centred care and communication for a person living with dementia

Provide person-centred care when supporting a person living with dementia

Demonstrate knowledge of the effects of dementia and how to manage them, for those caring for a person living with dementia

Demonstrate knowledge of support for people living with dementia when their behaviour presents challenges

We are awaiting NZQA accreditation for the new qualification National Certificate in Community Support Services - Core competencies, Human Services and Residential.
